live mixing.

alright. theres a whole lot going on with live mixing, and i'm getting confused with some of it. alright, so you have subgroups and aux sends. which one of these is used to create monitor mixes on the stage? i wouldn't want to use my subgroups to do that because those would be used to create more simpler mixes of a group of things like drums, right?

110 powered Amp for 220

Hi.
I'm heading to the states in a week and was planning on picking up some gear while I am there, I live in Israel and the price difference will certainly be worth it. I may have the opportunity to get a powered amplifier, but it will be set for 110V. I'm wary of using a converter. Anyone have experience/comments on using a 110 to 220 converter on an amplifier?
