From another thread I received somwe recommendations to check various SDC mics. In doing so i am receive price quotes for (Peluso CECM6) singles, matched pairs, and scope matched pairs.
For the project studio, mostly doing acoustic guitar lead songs, am I ok buying two singles, or should I move to the matched pair, or even the scope matched pair?

hi all. questions regarding mixing. Is it better/more efficient to subgroup the drums/cymbals to an aux track and use a plugin comp/eq/reverb on the aux channel only or should I use individual plugs on each track?
my thoughts are that it might work on the drums but not necessarily on the cymbals.

I'm trying to set up a Pro Tools session in 12/8 timing but I'm not sure how to do it. How do I make the measure bar follow the key signature? When I change it to 12/8 and put markers the measure lines don't change...

When I start Nuendo 2.2 or the new Samplitude 8.0 demo I get a very subtle high pitched whine or audio constant ring, maybe up at at about 2k or so, not sure. But I do not get it opening the SAW studio demo. I am trying to find out which program to get. I'm not sure if it is getting on the recording track, or it's just an output thing. Is SAW better than the other 2 programs.

Ok guys...I want some overhead mics that will also sound nice on acoustic guitar as well. I want a microphone that I can buy and always have a use for other than an expensive paperweight. Since my budget isn't astronomical I've been looking at the RODE NT-5's and the Studio Projects C4's. I've been reading a lot of previous posts that only left me more confused.

i've been trying to get my equipment through my relatives in different countries but i find prices of the stuff i need are less in America so i would try to get the equipment from America but the problem is my relatives have failed in purchasing just because they get confused by seeing models that have similarities because they don't have any know how of the stuff i need.
