Yamaha MG32-14FX
Forums
Hey, New to the board and was wondering about the Yamaha mg32. Here is a brief discription of what I need it for. I'm in a 5 member band and we play live (no recording). We have a bass, guitar, drummer, singer and me (keyboards). We mic all the drums, the bass player mics his amp and also plugs directly from the amp output to the mixer.

Used Mackie SR 24/4 vs Carvin C24444
Forums
We have a non pro 12 piece Funky R&B band that plays out a few times/month. We're looking for a larger mixer then our current Mackie CFX20. I found some used Mackie SR 24/4 VLZ Pro's on ebay selling for about $500. I also noticed the Carvin C2444 on sale for $800 this month.

Shure SM58
Forums
I'm not Shure (Excuse the pun!) if this post is in the correct forum however I couldn't think where else to submit it :?
Having compared the Shure SM58's with other microphones, I noticed that it is not as sensitive picking up sound. With an AKG D 880M for instance, the gain does not have to be turned up as high for the same level of output.

CIB, yea or nay?
Forums
Hi folks, this is Ernest, how are you?
I can get an AMEK CIB for $1550 including tax.
I like the eq's very much but is it worth that price or should I rather save the money for better preamps? Is it versatile, meaning can you use it on any kind of music?
Your advice is appreciated. THANX. :D

Different Reverbs
Forums
Hi,
I am about to mix some songs I just recorded, and I was wondering what you guys use when it comes to reverb. Do you use a bunch of different reverbs for specific instruments, like one reverb for guitars, one reverb for vocals, one reverb for strings, etc; or do you use one reverb for everything?

Always believe in your sou-houl. etc
Anyways, my question is this. After a lot of soulsearching on this board and some great advise, I have updated my preamp stages with the TMP8 and a Millennia STT-1.
