Good vocoder plugin ?
What's good everybody? I've got the latest version of Logic platinum on PC but unfortunately wasn't able to get the EVOC20 before they stopped producing it for PC. I've got a few productions in progress and need a good vocoder plug, purchase or free/shareware.
Want a good clean, distinct sound if that makes sense. Thanks for all input.

Benefits of upsamplinge before applying effects
I understand that higher sampling rates and bit depth are important when doing DSP on digital audio. I also understand that 16/44.1 is pretty much bottom of the pile in terms of quality these days.

Secret Weapons Revealed! AKA- You use THAT for THAT!
Okay, I'm sure this has been posted before by someone handsomer than I but I'm fairly new to this forum and was put here to be redundant and annoying by reposting perfectly milked subjects (okay, hopefully not).
Does Cubase still suck?
Greets all,
I'm a Studio Vision (Opcode) orphan and thought I'd found a replacement with Cubase SX (v2.2.35 win), but then I suddenly realized it: Cubase SX sucks.
I bought the damn thing so I should be biased in its favor, maybe thats why my denial lasted so long ;)

need help setting up effects in Cubase SX
I'm trying to add a reverb plugin to the input channel of Cubase and have it set up so I can hear the effect while playing my guitar. if I hit record and play a riff the effect will print to disk but you can't hear it untill you play it back.
there has to be a way for me to route the input signal through a reverb plugin so that I can monitor it without having to record.

Holy Moly Batman Sonar!
Wow. Sonar has to be the most amazing peice of software. The built in compressor and multiband EQ is out of this world.
So is Sonar one of the standards in the industry or what?

Help needed on studio gear...
I want to build my own miniature studio for recording/mixing, and I would like to ask you some questions about my gear selection. The mixes are supposed to be broadcasted, so the should have pretty good quality (not hoping or going for too much, as here in Romania most bands' mixes are BAD by western standards, so it's not so critical having excellent mixes; also cash shortage is a problem).

Any suggestions on an excellent VST Masterting EQ
Hi everyone, I've enjoyed the feedback I read and received here so I am posing another question. I recently purchased the UAD-1 card and love it. It was one of my better investments so far.
I recently purchased the HydraTone EQ and it is very nice for adding an analog sound and now need a clinical Mastering VST EQ.
