PARIS EQ plugin
Forums
I was wondering if any of you have used this plugin ? Lately I have been reading about how much EQ plugins suck compared to good hardware EQ's (I wouldn't know, can't afford them) but that some plugs are better than others, so that being said...

Mixdown to final
Forums
My overall question is about the finalizing of your mix?
1.When you mixdown, should you mixdown to a single(stereo) wave? or should you do two(mono) panned left/right?
2.Should you use two tracks. both in stereo. just to add fullness

How to calculate RMS on PA
Forums
Hi,
This is my first posting so bear with me.
Just bought a Peavey Power Amp for Live Band use. It is rated at 2000W RMS going into 2 ohm speakers, and 1300W RMS going into 4 ohm speakers.
We're using 8 ohm speakers, so what does that make our RMS rating?
Thanks in advance.

Cool new mastering plugin spectralive?
Forums
Hi all,
This is my first post here (great forum!) and I do apologize if this is in the wrong section. I just purchased a new mastering VST called spectralive, my crappy speakers never sounded better, and it's dirt cheap, anyway just thought it would be helpful for some.
They have mp3 demos but they don't do justice to the the product IMHO.

BIC Venturi speaker
Forums
I got ahold of an old British Industries Co. Venturi model speaker. Does anyone know anything about this company or specific speaker. It doesn't seem like it's actually british as the company's in new york and the speaker says made in USA. So anyone know anything about this?

Need a better multitrack program, Cubase se ?
Forums
I just upgraded my audi interface and added a mixer to my home studio. I've been using acid 4.0 for my multitracking but am growing tired of it locking up and its little quirks. Right now I have a trial of Adobe audition 1.5 but its a little out of my price range. Im considering Cubase se cause of the price tag and the fact that I can upgrade it.
Cubase VST 5 for PC - noobie question!
Forums
Hi,
I am new to this and my Cubase pack arrives tomorrow. I have quite a powerfull PC (3.00 GHZ, 160GB hard drive, 1024 MB RAM etc., ) and a Soundblaster Audigy (ZS?) souncard with remote and external box.
How hard is it to get used to recording? I have done it on a Mac about 15 years ago with only a MIDI keyboard.
