any ideas and what brand of power bar if you call it that to get for the gear ?

rack type with lights? 8 X 120 volts in back, the proper name if it is escaping me, but just reallized i may need a couple of them

I have the demo of Samplitude V8. I was wondering if anybody uses the Mackie Universal Control with this program? Does it have full fuction over the controller? Can you use scrub (with the wheel) in small increments? Can you set in and out points as well?

Greetings, anyone directly A/B'd the Smart C1 to the C2? I know the C2 has "crush" and sidechains, but how 'bout when they are set up identically with the same ratios and thresholds, etc? The C2 is $500 more- I have heard that some prefer the C1 over the C2.

i create an aux track, set its inputs to a bus (6 in my case), add a plugin to it and then assign the audio track i want affected by that plugin bus 6 in the tracks sends box.

I plan to have 2 UAD-1 cards with a full compliment of plugs,,,

my question is, with the quality of plugs these days, would it be redundent to spend money on outboard compressor and EQ ?

i'm starting to get pre buyers remorse of buying two things for one job

I need some help with a new studio.The last time I messed with this I had MCI 16 & 24 track machines,now I have none.I do have around $20,000 or so.Two 2.5 G5s and a couple AMD fx53 pcs.Have not any experience with DAWs,just tape.Any sugestions? I love the sound of tape,but need low matinence.

I want to know how can I find compatible generators for fruity loops version 4-5.1. Also which programs can I use to edit my mp3 after I assembled it and make it a complete song? Such as fading in and out, sound effects etc.
