That's is, it's between those 2 now. I've seen many "this pre vs that pre" threads, here and on other forums, but yet these 2 battle it out. As far as I can tell, they have very similar specs and are similarily priced at around $1400. Many will say they're both excellent units and it's gonna come down to the sound. The reviews are very favorable for both of them, from what I've read elsewhere.

Quick question.

I work for a Small Irish pub, and we want to be able to record the bands live. We have a Behringer UB22222FX Pro mixer, and looking to record 8 tracks to the computer for editing. I have heard of devices that you can go from the Mixer to by channel, and then it goes to the computer Via USB. Any Ideas

I have an opportunity to buy an Alesis power amp (Matica 900) to power my home audio subwoofers. Is anyone familiar with this amp or Alesis power amps in general that can offer comments?

I have heard a crown K1 and it was very impressive for bass, but also quite expensive. I can get this for a good pices used.

I would just like some feedback on the differences between stereo and mono while recording. I have adobe audition and i was wondering if recording in mono is any different then stereo? I'm only able to record in mono but when i do a mixdown it's put into stereo.

I got a trak 2 on route for home use with my laptop. It doesnt have any ambus card in it yet. Is it possible to hook more than one of them together, via the firewire option or any other way

does anyone here master their tracks with the Wavesplatinum bundle? I'm not interested in mastering my own tracks professionally(no training, and professional mastering much better), I'm just curious as to the procedure or the order of plugins you use in order to achieve a better sound... i want to play around and see what i can learn but i have nowhere to start.

Hey everybody, I'm seriously looking at the soundcraft ghoast 24/8 LE. right now I have a Mackie 24/8 and am pretty happy with it. but, a lot of people are recomending the ghoast to me. is it really that much better? is there anyone "out there" that has used a ghoast and would agree with that or otherwise?. .
