What equipment do I need?
Hey this is five-foot and I am wanting to re-open a studio. The building was built 15yrs ago still in good condition. My problem is that I am wanting to be digital and analog. I already have a fast computer, a pair of peavey AMR monitors and Tascam 8-track reel to reel, and some other small gear. My question is what do need and what about the hookup to make everything work.

TC Reverb 4000 has just arrived. Kurt, what about a revi
Hi foolks!
Seems a pretty cool stereo version of the System 600 is arriving at your US market.
If you guys have the opportunity, please evaluate this cool rack.
Will it be a giant leap from a M3000? comparable to PCM 91?
I have a TC reverb/delay/chorus plugin for PT. Pretty good.
Kurt, a review of this gizmo would be cool!

Selling software
Hi folks
I'm having a hell of a time trying to sell Cubase SX at what I think is a fair price.
I've listed it all over the place and no go. Can anyone offer opinions about what is considered a fair price( I'm thinking 50%)and suggest a site besides ebay where used software is sold?
thank you Roly

maths behind layering waves
Hi,
Does anybody know the maths ( or where I can find it ) behind layering audio files on top of each other?
Cos I have this idea:
In cutting up drum loops or beats extracted from a song, say to take out a snare drum or kick etc but most of the time it will have a hi-hat or something on top of it.

Rack mount kits for out of production gear
Anybody have any idea where to find rack ears/rack mount kit for an out of production Sony DAT machine? I've asked all over and no one seems to have any idea. The closest thing I've gotten to an answer is to try dealing with Sony directly. Their website has absolutely no info on anything related, although I haven't tried calling.

Brick Wall Limiter Recommendation
I am trying to set up an in-ear monitoring system and need to get a brick wall limiter to protect my hearing from unexpected loud peaks. I am trying to keep the cost down, but need a unit that will do the job right. What unit will do this?
