I am having trouble with DR-008 in Sonar. I can play the synth real time with my keyboard without any problems. Also, the synth will play back midi data perfectly.

I just can't hear a thing when audio playback, and i can't record audio either. I have a dmx 6fire and using Sonar 2 xl. is it a configuration problem in Sonar ? However, if i change the settings to MME drivers, audio works perfectly.

Have you got any idea what i can do?

ok, i purchaced a couple of eq's on ebay. one was an ashly sc-66a, which i like. ( if anyone knows anything about the balanced XLR mods to this unit please drop me a line). the other, getting to the point, was a 7 band notch filter ( model sc-68). it seems like a straight forward cut-only eq, except one knob that is labled "speed" (slow to fast of course).

Have you guys compared Focusrite, TC Eq Sat, Waves Q6 and Pultec EQP1?
I am a big fan of the Q series and now evaluating the others.

I'm not usually one to rant; however, there is a song that has been out for a while that has me so confounded that I feel I must do something. The song? 'Angel' by Amanda Perez. This has to be the biggest per capita piece of crap I have ever heard. After 14 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, it's still sitting comfortably at #20.

I'm looking for a limiter that works well for vocals.
In my past experience I've had a difficult time limiting a track without hearing the limiter working.

I know that the universal audio LA-2 and 4 work really well, but I don't have a ton of money to buy one.
Can anyone recommend a decent limiter that is a bit more affordable?

Just to preface this post, I'm not extremely knowledgable in loudspeaker/monitor design, so I'm kinda taking a stab at some terminology here.

does the 002 work with older plugins (for example 001 plugins? ) AS well, is a g4 867 adequate or should i get a 1gig processor?

Presently about to set myself up with a mixing station---digi 001 or 002 system with Mackie hr 824's and i'm trying to figure out what is best?

Anyone out there have this configuration and what is there mac setup or recommendations?
