I just hooked my brand new MU in today and I got a shocking suprize! I have it going direct in to the stereo incerts of a Mackie 32 channel mixer.

The cables are Monster 500 series XLR to ring tip sleeve and work fine for my Distressors.

Kevin Shirley mentioned on his website that he's used this thing on a bunch of recent projects. Anyone know what it is/does?

I now offer all pieces individually to all.

Has anyone had a chance to try out the new WAVES pluginsfor VST? (version 3.2.1 - it is a public beta that the Tech Support guy I talked to said was "extremely stable")

Is this one of those things that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"?

What benefit will a VST plugin give me over a Direct-X plugin with Cubase?

WTF are midfields? I know what nearfields and mains are. Nearfields are the small boxes that you put on stands or on the bridge of your desk. Mains are the mega boxes that are soffit mounted.

I first started hearing about the 414EB on these forums, (especially how favorably they compared to the new 414's) so when I saw a chance to buy a used one cheap, I grabbed it.

ok: how badly do i need power conditioners/voltage regulators/etc, and a general "what the f**k?" about this whole area of audio stuff.

thus far i know: "dirty power make stuff sound like ass"...

what products would be the most cost effective [and portable!] way to deal?

Considering mixing in Pro Tools in the near future. I would definitely have to upgrade my current rig. I am thinking about Crane Song Spider (if I can find one yet), have the PT 24bit ADAT interface, but need a few more Mix Farms (w/ new Sony EQ plugin - already have Waves, BombFactory, Reverb One, and McDSP Analog channel).
