i'm looking for mastering software as well and the previous post is very instructive.

however, i'm all mac and dp. any suggestions for mastering software or pluginsthat are specific to the mac or a digital performer?

Anyone tried the tranformerless AKG? How does it compare to the ULS?

I've got an opportunity to pick up a M5000 for a great price. We're Pro Tools TDM with no decent outboard gear. Would this unit suffice as the one "really good" dedicated reverb box? Anyone have one? Craig

Hey all...If you are a registered user of Waves Plugins and use Windows XP you can get a PACE updater that makes life a hell of a lot easier to deal with when installing it onto Windows XP! I highly recommend doing so! Have fun!

I'm not even sure I know how to ask this question, but here goes.

I have been MIDI recording in Logic just fine except for one issue which is very confusing to me. I use an A90EX keyboard couple with a Proteus2000 and JV1080. I have my multi's set up, in the environment. Everything appeared to be working normal except for one thing.

If you have a song with a lot of different guitar parts that need taming to blend together better, would it make any sense to put them all into a sub-group and use one main compressor on them all, or would you treat them all separately?
