i've been an emu/ensoniq PARIS user for a long time, and have a love hate relationship w/it.

I've been using various 10XX series modules for a while now and was wondering in anyone knows the correct setting of the switch on the back of the module. I've always just went with whatever it was already set to, until I starting hearing about a "correct" setting for a particular mic. I recently spoke to someone knowledgable, and they said if you are using newer microphones, set it to HI.

Hi? I'm using Nuendo 1.52 unda Win XP Pro, I've gone from Win 2k Pro to dis new setup. Should I go bak? are there any big differences between the 2 Os's? And are there any tweaks to COMPLETELY get this XP OS ready for Nuendo and audio recording? Holla bak if u wanna know more.

I hear that if you are in to Protools, then NAMM at AnaheI'm in January is the place to be but nobody is letting on what it's about.

OK, first post to the forum here, and I could really use some help.

I'm going to be getting an A/D converter in the next week or so. I was going to get the Lucid 2496 but I found an 18-bit Mytek for less. I know the Mytek was really expensive back in the day, how would it compare to a new Lucid or Rosetta? Being 2496 compatible isn't all that important to me right now as I don't have any other gear that can handle it. Good sound is the only consideration.

I notice that the new Focusrite ISA 220 has 2 symbols on it's advert side by side;
'24/96 ready' and the 'Pro Tools' logo.
Maybe this means things are going to be sooner rather than later?
