I have been using Yamaha MSP5 in my home studio for some time now and I am loving it. I am thinking of adding another set of monitors. The application is composing and mixing multi track music - mic and instrument tracks as well as programmed instrument tracks. Any suggestion for monitors suitable for small home set up.

I'm recording on a HP Envy, via an Allen and Heath ZED 10X mixer. I've tried Sonar LE and Audacity, and in both cases, the metronome gets recorded in the track. Does anyone have suggestions as to reasons and remedies? Thanks.

I've been recording since 1984 and yet i cannot achieve the admirable quality level of the Acoustic Sunrise recording. (We've all heard that little tune on imovie etc). It can also be found on Youtube (if such links are allowed on this site):

I have A pair of Towers that are sufficient in the Bass and Treble region, could use some improvement in the mid-range.I do not plan on dumping a lot of money into these since they are Welton A rather cheap brand.You know... the Rent A Center distribution model. These speakers are so bright with the horn tweeter and the mids that when I dis-connect the mid-range there's no difference.

Now, call me old fashioned, or tight fisted, but is paying nearly £12,000 for a Neve eq just a tad silly?
