Newb
Forums
I just joined Recording.org and want to start recording. I play guitar and bass and am in a band with a friend and neither of us no anything about recording. I am not looking for anything too serious and defenitly nothing too expensive. I was wondering what the best way to go would be. Multitrack recorder, mixer, audio interface . . . I dont really know anything about these.

Job Research for College Student...
Forums
First off: Hey what's up? Nice to meet all of you. I've been popping in and lurking for a while now, but my time to register finally came.
My Music Business teacher assigned a Career Research paper. I'm interested in the Electronics side and building effects so I thought that would be an interesting topic.

running a drum program into a standalone daw?
Forums
i have a question regarding using a drum program on a mac as a standalone and running it into a standalone daw, such as a boss 1200. i have tried in vain for some time now to use Cubase to no avail, and have since decided go the boss daw recording route..computer recording is not my thing. now I'm wondering can i run battery 3 (drum program) and my midi controller as a standalone into a daw?
Roland has the worst instructions.
Forums
OK so I'm going to record my first track tonight on my VS 2400. NOT.
The book is so bad in explaining things that I was lost.
So I look through the stuff that came with, isn't there a DVD or something? No. there is a. VCR tape. yikes.

Resetting Midi Controller
Forums
Is there any way I could reset my E-MU XBoard 49 Key? I bought it hardly used from Guitar Center, and when I play a note on the controller it is just slightly delayed when it comes through my speakers. I am pretty sure I set it up right, and installed everything correct. Could I reset it? Is it possible? Maybe that would fix the very slight delay. Anything adivce would be of help.

So, I've been posting a lot here, and I apologize if I'm hogging the board, but I'm really enjoying being able to bounce ideas off of other engineers/musicians/producers.

Here's a real Laugh-at-Me question (Sound Forge)
Forums
So I got my Sound Forge all nicey nice and I'm recording four tracks at a time.
I got it because it it pretty hospitable to the amateur user, but I am a little too amateur to understand how I mix those four tracks into one stereo track...
Can anyone shred some light?
Thanks
H
