hi all, I'm thinking of buying a Massive Passive, having had my heart set on one for years, but I'm hearing great things about the Summit EQP200B, which 2nd hand would be about half the price. Anyone ever compared them? Does the summit really stand up to the MP?

I have recently been recording on a Neve 60 track console. I have no background working with a Neve console, and am still getting things down. The other people in their arent even using the Avalon 737s, UA 610's or Avalon 2020. are the pres that good? I know Neve has been known for better pres than ssl, but wasnt sure.

My friend is putting together his first big rig setup and it goes as follows:

Line6 HD147 Head (300 watts stereo transformer)
Mesa Engineering 2:50 Power Amp (50 watts class A tube)
Marshall 1960 Lead Cabinet (300 watts handling)

Yes that is a pathetic question.

Does anybody actually use any EQ compressor or any other processor between the source and your monitors?

i have a feedback eliminator pro dsp 1124p. my problem is that the book is not user friendly. i have a peavey xr 600 amp/mixer head. can any one guide me towards proper setup. thanks[

I’m just getting into recording and am in a little class where we talked about tuning tips for PC’s to decrease overhead, etc., and tips for maintaining your DAW. But I have a new Macbook. I’m new to Apple, so I know little about them, and my teacher knows nothing about recording with them.

I have a Mackie Onyx 1640 and I want to upgrade:more channels, something less sterile sounding, I want to record at least at 92/24 with no less than 16 tracking simultaneously, and must have firewire or USB. Price range $3000-$3500 new.

I was looking at two MOTU HD192, would that be a good choice? Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!
