are there any better forums or anywhere on the net for good information on starting off? i just have a lot of questions and i rarely get any replies, i'm not sure how else to go about learning all this stuff, books? any advice?

hey guys, i know almost nothing about recording. All I need at the moment is a cheap (around $100) way to record voice, an acoustic guitar (with pickup), and maybe bongo drums onto my macintosh. I'm not looking for professional quality, just so that i can actually hear the music instead of buzz. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I already have a Shure mic.

Hi, I've just put myself to gether a new workstation, and I'm going to shove my KRK Rokit 6's on the top shelf.

Has anyone any comments on the Mopad speaker pads by Auralex, how much of a difference they make or shall I just go ahead and make my own cos they are kind of pricey for bits of foam?

i bought a zoom mrs8 and it came with an SD card, and when i try to put it on the computer the files will come up but theres six seperate files for one song, and it's totally not even working

any help would greatly be appreciated.

I have a situation and I need advice if possible.

I am looking to buy a few things for myself so I can make music with a friend.
I have been playing guitar but nothing extremely serious. Since I have been limited by my lack of gear.

Okay i know this is a very stupid question but if i were to buy a mixer how would i connect that to a computer like insted of (ill use it as a example)a fire wire mixer.

I got a blue tube stereo tube preamp with the 12ax7 tube. As well as a apex 435 condenser mic. I want to know what frequencies these add or cut. (how they color the signal). Any idea where I can get this info?

Also is it possible to get the same info for these speakers? Altec Lansing ACS33?
