Not sure really what it's called...like where to put vocals as far as left or right side of speakers. I guess maybe its called sound placement or panning? Anyway, any good books or websites that have standards of where to place each track. I know that it depends on the song and feel but are there any general rules like never put bass on one side or never pan drums to one side.

Could someone please contrast between the Universal Audio 610 Solo and the old version of the M610? Other than the number of inputs and price, what is the major difference between the two? Time is of the essence due to eBay auctions where the M610 is located.

I will need to buy the piece by next Saturday when I start recording guitar for my latest client.

Does anybody know whats the proffesional route to connect my Mackie 1604 Vlzpro mixer to my Mbox2 Pro? How about The mic inputs 1 and 2 on mbox to sub outs on Mackie 1 and 2 and output of mbox to line in 1 and 2 of mackie? Is this a right routing if I'm wrong please correct me.

Is there software or something that I can use to see what the frequency response of my speakers are? Like say I do a full spectrum sweep, I want to know what frequencies are being boosted/cut by the speakers. Is there some way to do this?
