I just moved into a jam space, the dimentions are sometihng like 12' ceiling, 12' or more wide, and id say about 24' long. The walls are just plain, and the floor is cement. The room is real loud, and will probly echo a bit. Any suggestions on one of the better, cheaper, temporary ways to get a half decent sound in a room like that?

Wondering what you guys are doing when it comes to straping a stereo compressor on the 2-bus. What are you using plugin or analog?

Hello, Im new here and to Recording. I have recently purchased a Yamaha O1V96 and Alesis HD24. I haven't got much further than setting up different input and out put patches, and playing back some pre-recorded stuff from previous sessions. I have ALOT to learn, and thought this would be a great place to do it. So, If yall have any suggestions whatsoever, please share them with me.

I'm looking for a general-use single channel strip to use as a front end for a software-based home project studio. Bass guitar and a RODE NT2A are the main input sources, though guitar and melodica (through the NT2A) will also factor in, as I'm into dub reggae. I'm kinda trying to get a Twilight Dub Circus one-man-show thing going on.

i need a few suggestions for equipment for my home studio needed to do the following jobs

1 voice overs, vocal recordings for songs,jingles etc
2 instruments like sitar,flute,acoustic and electric guitar recordings through Micing cabs, and maybe live drums too.

I have a PreSonus DIGIMAX that I would like to run all 8-ADAT inputs into an interface that will accept them at 96k (if at all possible). I also want the interface to have a few of it's own inputs and even a second ADAT input. I have a Sony Vaio PC with Windows XP Media Center and I use Cubase SX3, so it will have to be compatable with all of those.

I have never really gotten into midi much except for the motif and mpc together, want to get into using the computer with pro tools and would like opinions on the best way to route my midi.

I bought a used Digi 002R on ebay. When I plugin the Digi 002R into my Mac mini, the 002R is not recognized when starting the Pro Tools LE 6.9.3 application. The hard dive that is plugged into the back of the 002R is also not being recognized on the Mac Mini, not even in Disk Utility.

Hi, I'm a keyboard player foremost but on occasion have been known to play bass. In my current band, my bass player would like for me to sit in on bass for a few songs here and there.

I know you must get these threads with every second refresh, but I'm serious about setting this up.. so I need to know.

Monitors I can worry about later, same with mics.

It's really just the Audio I/O interface that's leaving me a bit overwhelmed.
