phasing issues
Forums
I've set up a spare bedroom for recording electric guitar. I'm playing thru a Hughes and Kettner Switchblade 100W combo. I'm using a 3 mic technique. The first is a dynamic SM-57 placed about an inch from the grill cloth, midway between the center cone and the outer edge, pointing straight to the speaker.

Advice on contract to use my old band's tracks on TV prog?
Forums
Hi folks - could I get a quick bit of advice please? I was in a band that now split - there were 5 of us and I was the techy guy/keyboardist/co-writer. We split about a year ago. Never had any record deals or anything. Had a good time, made some good tunes.

Need help recording on computer
Forums
Before I jump into stuff like Guitarport and things like that I decided to just test it out by buying an adapter to hook my guitar up to my computer. Right now my guitar hooks up to a Boss Mega Distortion pedal and into the computer. When I try and record it sounds great for the first 4 seconds, and then it rapidly drops in volume until I can barely hear it.

Set the number of samples for latency compensation in C4?
Forums
Hi-
I'm sure this is probably in the manual somewhere, but i couldn't find it anywhere, so.
(if someone has a page #, that'd be great)
when you have "adjust for record latency" checked, do i also need to set the # of samples to adjust, or does that happen automatically?

2 Important Questions, Please Respond!
Forums
1: When Micing a two-speaker combo amplifier (Marshall Jcm 2000 Tsl602), would it be beneficial to mic both speakers in different ways? If so, please advise me on how this could be best done. I have a medium-high grade AKG condenser, a RODE Nt-1, a Shure SM57, a Shure SM58 and a Sennheiser E845. Which of these would be the best for recording a guitar combo amplifier?
