Lynx AES16 or RME HDSP AES32? Is it worth waiting for PCIe?
Forums
Hello, has anybody worked both those cards to tell me any differences in latencies, etc? Will there be any improvements in their new PCIe versions, what do you think? (I think the RME PCIe card is out already, has anybody tried it?) Thanks!

Audio Interface for Linux?
Forums
Hi,
I hope this is the right part of the forum to post this in :)
I am sick to the back teeth of Windows and want to jump over to Linux (probably Ubuntu). But, I have an Edirol FA-101 audio interface and from what I can see this is not supported at all by Linux, is that right?

How come TUBE TECH LCA-2B compressor gets no respect?
Forums
I thought a tube compressor would compliment my Alan Smart C-1 nicely for my 2-bus and final master to CD but can't for the life of me find any glowing reviews anywhere on the unit. It's obviously a high-endpiece of gear but from what I read on forums though the Manley vari-mu (which I couldn't afford) definitely is preferred by most.
M-Audio FW-410 doesn't work anymore
Forums
Due to a possible hotswap (i guess) the M-Audio FW410 now doesn't work anymore. Normally when windows starts up the FW-410 also boots and is ready for use when windows has fully loaded.
Now windows doesn't see the fw-410 anymore. The blue light keeps blinking which, according to m-audio support, means that the device is not recognized.

SPECIFIC RAM RECOMMENDATION
Forums
Hey everyone! New guy here!
I am planning out the blueprint for a new DAW (computer for music-recording) & want to be smart with my memory choice. Please recommend an exact hyperlink to a part number (not Mushkin though).
My board is an Intel D975XBX2KR, 975X chipset, 775 socket. Evidentially, I must precisely pick out memory with the following specs (no variations):

Front Mount or Rear Mount Guitar Speakers
Forums
I've searched with little success. I just finished the grunt work on an Avatar Vintage Premium-inspired 2x12 cabinet. I have a rear mounted 1x12 and a front mounted 1x12, both are satisfactory.
Do any of you have (well based) strong opinions on this? I'm mounting WarehouseSpeakers.com clones of V30 and ClassicLead80s (wired in parallel if you care)

Voicemaster pro signal path and settings Q.?
Forums
Hi,
I am using the VMP in a live situation on my gigs. You can set it up with the compressor being pre or post EQ and the Vintage harmonics being pre or post compressor. It gets a bit confusing as to what the best signal chain would be for best results. Would it be best to have the
COMP-VC-EQ. or
VC-COMP-EQ or
VC-EQ-COMP.?
