Would i be better off getting a fire pod than a Alesis fire wire mixer/interface

I'm looking to use my XG Factory with something new but I can't find enough info on this even through the SW1000XG users group. If there are any users of the SW1000XG with newer systems, please let me know what motherboard and cpu you are using with it.

ive got a Korg d8 and audition and i cant figure out how to import all 8 tracks as 8 tracks in audition please help!

I have received an album pre mastered at Audio CD resolution.. Now the Producer has no open sessions of the tracks & wishes to add some more instruments to the material.. (Using Pro Tools LE 7 in a PC with Digi 002 rack)

I have a Tascam DP-01 from the US. I live in Dubai and have bought a transformer which worked for one day. Today I bought a AC/DC adaptor for 220 voltage. It powers on, but asks me to wait. .then nothing. I am going crazy! Any advice/suggestions? PLEASE!

i have been working for a couple of years with a layla 3g and a Focusrite octopre. and so far so good. but until a couple of days i started asking my self if there is a sonic quality diference between a sound card like the layla and the digi 002? if i want to improove in terms of sound quality what sound card do you recommend me to move forward?

I think i may get this mixer it is also a interface.
Its fire wire. It come with software but ill use vegas. Im also gona use another mixer in the stero channels for drums. Anyway anyone have experience with this mixer/interface or no about it. Is it a good idea to get or can i get better for the money.

I have been offered an old pair of Tannoy Berkleys. The rubber has perished on the suspension as usual. It will cost me £350 (UK) to have them professionally reconed.
So, do I go down this road or spend money elsewhere, bearing in mind that they are not the gold drive units.
The guy is going to give them to me anyway for nothing, as he can't afford to fix them.
