Click spill from headphones
Forums
Right I was wondering, what is the best way of stopping a click track leaking from headphones onto drum overheads? I have a pair of DT100s and DT770s if that is any help.

Best pre around 500 US for AKG C4000B?
Forums
Hi,
I have an AKG C4000B and am just currently using the pre's on my Mackie desk. Can anyone suggest a preamp that will do the microphone justice..perhaps one well suited to it?
Tubes optional but some color would be nice, my vocal recordings sound quite sterile to my ears.(Which isn't a totally bad thing I guess as at least I have room to move when mixing)

Gigabyte i-Ram
Forums
Have you huys heard of this new storage device...
You can put up to 4GB of DDR Ram on it and it connects via SATA
Windows sees it as a hard drive, but it's RAM (fast random access, much lower latency, quiet, and much faster fily i/o than a regular hard drive)

how to record a violin?
Forums
i will be starting a new session with my band and i was just wondering two things. first how would you record the violin? think of it as a beethoven style solo violin. one more thing the violin, bow and musician are top notch and the room is treated(hanging form the topnotch)
think about that...

Avalon AD-2022 or Avalon M5?
Forums
Which one will be better? Avalon AD-2022 or 2 Avalon M5s? I have "heard" that M5s are a bit better. Is that true?
