I have finally had a chance to try out the Peluso 22 47 microphone, so rather than try to explain how it sounds, here is a Jim Croce song I recorded in my living room this evening.

The signal chain is: (Vocals 2247)(Guitar AT4033)--->Avalon AD2022 preamp--->E-MU 1212m sound card

Since Msp5 is suppose to be the next Ns10. does the Ear Fatigue come along with the msp5's? How do the KrK V6's and Msp5 compare head to head. Looking to invest in some Monitors. and these 2 are at the top of my list according to reviews ive read here. I produce hip hop...if that helps.

Does anybody record with a laptop?

If so, I have an E-MU 1616 unit that came with MIDI cables. The keyboard I am running is a Yamaha Motif 6.

Anyways, maybe I don't understand MIDI recording but my program, Sound Forge 6, does not read any signal from the E-MU using a MIDI connection. I get a signal from the headphone jack OUT on the keyboard, but it is very quieted.

O.k. I'm looking for a little help here for theose of you who may be more fluent in electrical engineering than I am.
I have a dilemma.

Que paso everybody? Is there way to produce a doubling effect for vocals using Cubase or adobe audition (cool edit pro)?

Hi guys

A little trick I hear on a lot of Ryan Adams records and other mellow roots stuff includes putting a delay on just the s's and t's of the vocal... has a nice ambient effect.

I imagine they're boosting certain frequencies in whatever their sending to the delay, but I haven't been able to quite figure it out.

Any tips?

(FYI: I'm on Pro Tools)

So I'm pretty darned acquainted with good ole fashioned mixing consoles and outboard gear. I even know my way around a good DAW. But one thing I'm absolutely stupid about is MIDI. I used it back in the day when I was in college to write stuff into Finale, but that's about it.

I'm trying to record some guitar stuff to my computer. My setup is Guitar =>digitech rp200 effets pedal => line in of sound card. When I record the first 3 seconds of the track sounds great and then the volume drops to about half and the sound becomes muddy, sounds like your playing under water.

I'm trying to use my laptop in a live situation, the trouble being there is a lot of interferance when connected to the mains,unplug the cord and all is well. I have tried using an external usb sound card but still have the problem.
Is there a solution where I can use the mains?

I'm looking for a guitar amp that's good for recording mostly a Fender Strat Plus with Lace Sensors and a Gibson Les Paul with PAF's. Music style is mostly pop-rock, rock, and blues. Good clean tone is more preferable than good distortion since I can get good distortion with pedals. Although, good of both is ideal. My budget is up to $600.
