Charging money for mixer level setup?

Just wondering... has anyone heard of charging money for periodically setting the levels on a mixer for live performance? I've become aware that since our church bought a Mackie 1402Vlz Pro mixer for the choir, they periodically pay someone to come in and set the levels. Not sure how much they get charged, but I think it's probably a fair bit. The reason I'm asking is twofold:

Hi, I'm a newb to posting but have enjoyed what I have learned from reading. I hope you can help me. I have a small recording studio and we handle tons of cable t.v v/o's from tele-commuting voice talent. We've recently added one who has an odd quality to the sound of her audio, and I thought if I posted her chain here, you could give me some suggestions for her.

Hey everyone I have been posting trying to found out info on a recording studio with no computer. I finally decided on going the computer route since it's cheaper and will give me waaay better results than the stuff I've been doing on the Boss BR-8 all in one porta studio. Well the question I have is this: What products and devices will I need to start off on a decent-sounding album?
