I have an orig MOTU 2408 with 20 bit A/D.
I would like to record into Cubase with 24bit
recording switched on.

Is it ok to use 20 bit A/D with 24 bit recording?
For ex, will I get any unwanted artifacts?

This is my first post and my question is in regards to upgrading my current DAW system to a 64 bit one.

has anyone ever used or heard anything about AKAI 1730D SS? I bought this reel-to-reel unit at a yard sale for $5. It's in pretty good condition, so I'm wondering if there's any possiblity to sell it, I'll never use it.

hello I am new to the forum and believe it or not have ran quite a few searches. I am just wondering what the best setup would be for my compressor to get the fullest sound out of my condensor mic. I have no preamp yet but have experimented with feeding the mic to Behringer mixer then through fender amplifier out to the Behringer compressor and into computer via audiophile 2496.

Can someone help me out. I've read the manual inside out on my Alesis DMPro, Drumagog, Cubase SX, and my FW1884. What I want to do is replace my recorded kick with a kick in my Alesis. It won't work not mattter what I do. I have in to out and out to in with Midi cable between my FW1884 and the Alesis. I load up Drumagog on the insert of the recorded kick and nothing.

hey all, as i've been trying to solve the problem of occasional popping and clicking (the bane of my existence), i've looked into everything under the sun except for the way my hard drive had been set up by gateway. apparently, i've got an IDE PCI adapter that connects the hard drive to the motherboard via the PCI bus.

Can anyone tell me if the Korg Triton Le is worth buying or not, and what makes you think that it is or isn't.
