MXL2006 = pre-modded MXL 2001 directly from Marshall?

Hi guys,

While i was browsing the web today, i cam across this new product from MXL, in which they say that this new model got inspired by all the "hot-rodding" being made to the MXL 2001, 2003, etc...

The new product is the MXL 2006. Here is what one add on eBay says on this matter:

YOU'RE the engineer, what would you do?

Your task:

Record a loud rock and roll drummer **ONLY DRUMS** in a high ceiling'ed loft style apartment (cement walls and floors) but you have baffles/dividers etc at your disposal. You only have 8 A/Ds and youre recording to hard drive.

The Kit:
Old Slingerland, one rack tom, ride and crash, piccolo wood snare.

ASCAP Memberships. .Again!

I am an independent musician who has a very small home studio and produces/distributes his music totally via the Internet. Most of my material is “cover” material. I use the Harry Fox Agency totally because they seem to be one of the few Administrators who actually have a reasonably straight forward procedure for Internet distribution for individuals such as myself.

convert MOTU 896 to Pro Tools: experiences anyone?

now.. what I would like to know... how does the conversion to Pro Tools work? MOTU site says it works, even with all fades and crosses and whatsover.

anyone with experience with that?

if it works... i think i'll go motu
