Quick question. .looking for some feedback on this issue.

I know its sort of an unorthadox approach but. I run a small indie label with one successful release under our belt. This band has since gone on to sign with Victory Records (one of the largest indie labels around). I am exploring the idea of rather than using large commercial studios with inflated rates. using home studios to record our releases.

Is a TRS Balanced cable the same as 1/4" stereo cable?

Hope I can get a quick, definitive answer on this...

Is a TRS balanced cable the same as a 1/4" stereo cable that you can buy at Radio Shack? When I asked the people in the local Radio Shack, and in our local music store, that I wanted a TRS balanced cable, they looked at me blankly.

I want to make sure they are the same...don't want to blow anything up! :(

Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe, does this work w/ 002R?-complete set-up

Greetings computer audiophiles and groovers in general.

A local computer company can assemble this for under $1200 inc tax & shipping. Seems like a good deal. This is my first audio computer. I will be running Pro Tools 002R with factory bundle, recording mostly small budget-minded projects, demos etc

Here's the setup

The best way to work with a digital computer with a DAW

If you have a digitlal mixer, it seems that you really should route all your tracks from your from your DAW to the mixer. If you don't, then you can't use any of the effects of your mixer, nor can you sum in the mixer which would allow you to use routing, pan and other controls on your mixer,. You might as well just get a controller, no?
