What's the best way to get a recording to software like cubase?

Firewire?
USB?
Sound Card?

Highest bit rate with least noise counts as "best" i think... although do let me know if what i've just said is stupid :?

I would like to produce somthing in 24bits 96k quality as that seems to be what people are mentioning and going for.

which would be the better way of connecting a rosetta a/d to a pc?

i currently use the rosetta's S/PDIF output into the S/PDIF input of my soundcard (soundblaster platinum 5.1)

however,

I'm considering getting a firewire card for my pc, and getting the firewire expansion card for the rosetta

in acid pro 4.0? let me know.. or is there some other way to do so on the comp?

I've been looking the Toft Audio Designs ATC-2 for a while, reading, researching...but the only info i found was the Fletcher's rewiew on Mercenary...i'm interested onto hear a comentary or rewiew (Kurt?) of this device...looks like its a good deal...what about the EQ? compresor? better than the RNC? and the pre?

I have noise that is directly related to my computer coming out of my studio monitors... any advice on how to eliminate this problem?

Hello. I own an M-Box and I'm running PT 5.3. Im trying to figure out how come my recording volume level is so low. It doesn't even break the midway mark. Anyone else had this problem?

I took the top off my VMP-4000e a little while back, and was quite impressed with the construction of the thing. Everything is nicely dressed - heat shrink pretty much everywhere it could be used - glass/epoxy PCB - just a nice looking rig inside. There is obviously a lot of time and care in putting these things together.

I have 2 PC's I use for Audio. One is located in our band's "Live Room" (where we practice, and record raw tracks), and my Tower PC at home (for mixdown, etc). The 2 would NEVER be in use at the same time, and are a 20 minute drive apart from each other (if that affects the EULA of the UAD-1 software).
