Ok,installed the latest edition of the software from Tascam (1.3) and connected my new 1884. Why is it not controlling Cubase? When I press play on the Tascam, the far right level display on the Cubase Transport Panel shows a level, but nothing else happens. Any ideas?

Has anyone in here used, or reviewed this strip? I have read reviews on it and they all seem good, a little too good you know what i mean.

Can anyone suggest a good power strip to plug my monitors and outboard gear into? And maybe a seperate one to plug my computer into(or the same one?) to plug my Monitor speakers into? I moved my computer into a seperate room and now I can really hear my monitors well. The only problem is I'm hearing some electric hum that was covered up by the noise of the computer fan before.

ok, here's the deal. I have had a home studio for awhile now, and I am finally able to open a real studio, I want to get all new equipment and have a real proffessional set up. I would really appreciate some opinions on everything that I should get and am gonna need. I want to be able to record any & every genre of music, so live bands, hip hop, acoustic, whatever.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to explain what they use their patchbayfor, specifically. At my university, the patchbayis used to connect the sub-outs to the inputs, but for some reason I'm thinking that there are other ways of connecting things. If I'm wrong, oh well.
