I will be traveling between Oct. 17th and 31st.
I will be doing some rec contacts in São Paulo ( Oct 17th-20th), then travel to NY for 2 days (21st-23rd) and go to Spain (23rd - 30th > Madrid/Barcelona), returning to Brazil at 31st.

I will be checking my email/Ro plugin room remotely, whenever is possible.

Guys what would you get?

I'm looking for a good mixing console to mix down the songs from the pro tools,what would you recommend?
I'm on a budget,nothing more than $500

I am developing 2 CD projects with a partner and various guest musicans and artists in the world music fusion vein.

One CD is about 80% completed. The other about 20%.

The yearly world music conference is happening in Sevilla Spain - and my partner and I will be attending.

I'm a beginner and do most of my recordings on a software platform (Nuendo) as opposed to hardware (have a mAudio 2496 and a mic preamp with a couple of decent mics)...recently went to a "Going Out Of Business" sale at a studio near my place and picked up a Tascam Portastudio 424 mkII for $100...

Someone can tell me about the Telefunken pres? whats the big deal with then? I'm referring to V72 end V376 model...i know they are vintage,,,but can u tell whats special with it sound? :roll:

Thinking of adding a MIDI Patchbay to my setup.
Curious to hear if this would be better avoided when not strictly needed. This because of the added delays (I thought at least a few milliseconds were unavoidable).

Are patchbays simply a tradeoff between convenience & tightness of timing ?

And much difference w.r.t. delays between the various models ?

Does any one know how to import wav files into Radar 24 Nyquist with the DVD RAM?
I have a P4 with a Sony DRX-500ULX it can support DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW,DVD-RW etc.

Is the preamp compressor an electro-optical ?

Somebody have experience with this combo ?
