I dont see how using a 3d Card is going to take away from audio harware acceleration...

3d Hardware acceleration is contained within the card it self... It uses its own memory and its own GPU.

Now if the 3d card was onboard yeah thats sucks performance like no others (uses shared mem etc)

Is anyone familiar with this unit? Its described as a dynamic equalizer. 4 band. sounds to be more of a multi band compressor?

Would it a good approach as a multi band, or would
separate units do a better job.

Not much multiband compressors out there.. which is what I am looking for. Analoge that is.

Hey everybody. I want to improve my mic closet. Since my only dynamic mics are a 57 and a 602, one of the above three mics is probably a safe bet.

I am seriously considering attending the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, AZ.
Is this a worthwhile thing to do?

ok how about this... if you only had two channels to record a live show (in a loud club) how would you do it? any preference on mics. i have been running off the board mix but am missing that "live sound". until i decide on what new outboard pre's and interface i would like to get a better feel on these recordings.

I was considering buying the Q10 soundcard for my recordings but I know it's been out for a while now so i wanted to make sure aardvark wasn't planning on releasing a new soundcard to replace the Q10. Did anyone hear anything about something replacing the Q10 that would be worth waiting for?
