so bill hipped me to a new set of monitors tonight and i just realized i have no way of selecting between the 2. i need some type of selector to go between my console and 2 sets of amps/monitors.

any reasonably priced suggestions? (fwiw, this is for my home studio)

Due to fate, I inherited a new computer as a replacement for my machine. My machine is 4 years old and it is at wit's end doing some of the more advanced stuff I want to do so the new one should be about 7X more powerful in all catagories.

It is loaded with XP and so is my old machine. XP home.

I have a Gigabyte GA7DX+ motherboard with an 1800+ chip in it. How fast of a chip can I put into this motherboard? Would it be worth the trouble?

Help! I just bought a Focusrite compressor/preamp and would like to know how to set the compressor ratios, e.g. 2:1, 4:1, etc I keep hearing about, as there's nothing in the manual covering this. I'm new to using a compressor and always assumed that these ratios were all set button/ knobs on a compressor unit.
