hey guys...Asus has just posted the new BIOS revisions for the P4B533 and P4T533 series boards. This will allow you to take advantage of the new Hyper Threading CPU's coming out very soon. Supposedly these new processors are to be released this month some time.

We had been having a discussion before about the limitations of the Mackie ie. wanting to record cmore sources than viable with 16 channels. So I'm wondering about the outboard pre scenario.

What if?

I have a back room in my studio that is used as a gear docking area or back the van into etc to unload gear. the walls around it are sound proofed. I want to use it to put another guitar cab in. I was thinking of just making a closet with 8" insulation on the top, 2 sides and bottom and just pointing the amp into it. Will this work or should I build a whole iso cab?

i recently updated drivers for the UAD card in my XP pro DAW.
the card was working nicely with v2.1 drivers, but at some point after the driver update (v2.2.6) i got this "device cannot start (code 10)" message in Device ManagerUAD-1 Powered pluginsdriver; and the pluginsare there in Nuendo but don't work.

Control panel/sounds and audio devices/by the speaker volume tab on the bottom, Advanced.

Do you hear the differences?

I have mine set at no speakers. XP control.

Personally, if their is a difference in the settings, I want your input to what it is.
