They are crappy little MP3's 96 kps to keep those with slower connections in mind. It's probably not good enough sound to do any intricate mix critiquing but hey, tell me what you gather from what you heard. Gotten some cool feedback so far.

Looking for a new compressor for "home" mastering-So nothing above $2k --so maybe in the price range of $600-1000...an early EMT,Altec,Urei,Orban, dbx all seem to be in that price...on the new front Buzz, Alesis CLX 440, SPL,Dramer_____ maybe wait for a used Avalon 747, Manley, Cranesong,,,probably never in that price range andworking . so whats a poor boy to do?

There's now a demo version of "VocAlign" for Soundscape users downloadable from the Soundscape site (http://www.soundscape-digital.com) The Drawmer plugin was released last week, and Spin-Delay before that--looks like they're on a roll!

Yesterday I was kinda crazy thinking about some upgrades on my studio.
First let me explain the whole situation:
I live in Brazil where gear is very, very expensive. I have a friend that is moving back from the U.S.
in september and he has the right to bring used stuff as he lived for more than a year outside Brazil.
Right now I have:

I am a midiot (noobie) trying to set up a midi lab. I hace a Tascam US-428. Do I use it as the master?

I'm going to build a computer for a pro-studio here in town. I told the guy he should go with one of the new Asus boards w/533 fsb, Rambus (he wants a gig), and a P4 Northwood. Someone else told him that This will have many issues particularly with Asio drivers under certain conditions, Latency, and Vst Instruments.

Ever gotten this? I've got a Roark Data Scsi box with 2 drives (Seagate 9.1 gigs). I've started getting this randomly, usually on the 2nd drive. If i'm playing back a fairly high track count, the drive locks up. It freezes the whole rig. I can't even Blue Z to see what's happening.
