Hello all,
Any sources for high-quality cables without the hype? In my area all I can get is Monster Cables- they primp and preen and write you a resume but they don't even tell you what gauge the copper is!
I'm thinking good solid mechanical connections, fat ample copper, and best of all, sounds great! Is it this simple or what should I know?

Hey- I have finally stumbled across the manual to the Soundcraft 600 I sold a couple of years ago, and I don't really have any use for it. If anyone out there has a Soundcraft 500 or 600 series board that will get better use/care with a manual in hand, email me and I will send it on.

I think 1/4" is what I am thinking of, this big phono plugs.

Do they make any soundcards with those on them? If I can find one, even a windows only one I think I can scam some time in a really nice studio to do some of my work.

I've noticed recently that almost all of my mic preamps are dark and colored. I have a VMP-2, Telefunken V672's, Dakings, a PreSonus MP20 and a Joemeek . I think the reason for it is because I was tracking to digital (ADAT XT's) for a long time. Now that I'm running to 2" I'm wondering if I should get something that's a little more open sounding.

Anyhow I just recieved a DC2000 for VERY little cash, were talking $500!

The board itself is in decent condition however as has been the problem with all of the DC2000's the LCD panel is pretty much shot, I can get some contrast out of it but the backlight is useless.

Just when you think you've got it down...I am aware that this may very well be a rediculous question, but...I noticed that the MIA sound card doesn't have a MIDI port. How would I go about connecting it to the MIDI in/out on my keyboard?
