I want to be able to spacially arrange instruments in a bigger stereo field.
On many commercial recordings I listen to with headphones, instruments seem to be hovering over my head, or be playing way out there. How are these effects achieved? I know reverb and chorus can help with this.

Hello Opus. I am wondering if you had a chance to compare the converters on the 4416 to some of the external converters out there. Is there anything you can recommend as being consiberably better? Anything that is not really much of an improvement? Anything definitely worse?

Has anyone tried those products?

Do they stay together well?

I've got a 220v power supply for a valve mic and need to find a transformer to use it here in the U.S. -- little help please? much obliged... :cool:

This is my first post to these forums, but I’ve been lurking for a while. You guys have posted some great information for both seasoned vets and budding novices. I think anyone who takes the time to enhance his or her craft should visit on a regular basis.

I'm sure some of you guys have heard that Yamaha announced the end of NS-10 production, citing a difficulty in getting the proper wood pulp for the woofer, yeah whatever.
Any NS-10 dudes out there nervous? Stashing those woofers and tweeters away like a buddy I know with cases of "Old" Coca Cola? Lookin for something else to replace em?

I am gathering supplies for a new patchbay, and its unlike any that I have built before. It is the patchbay for a portable recording rig and it needs to be very flexible. It will have the usual 1/4" longframe jacks on the front panel, but there will also be a rear panel with XLR connectors to allow me to connect new gear into the system by simply plugging it into the XLR jacks.

Sorry to be posting this here in this category. I'm wondering if anyone has studdied at full sail; and could tell me what they thought of it. I'm thinking about checking it out in a while. Thank you!
