I'm running windows 7 and using Pro Tools for audio/visual post production etc. I'm finding that my Processor can't really handle the work load when I use things like Omnisphere in conjunction with video. So I'm updating my ram from 2GB to 4GB and trying to find the best possible processor that's compatible with my system.

Hi. I'd like to ask you all about the following possible setup considering the fact that I want to record an album by Micing my vox ac30 (and, after that, my voice) to the computer, followed by drum composing, mixing, etc.

Unsure of where to post and this seemed most accurate. I am doing a project about blindness and reliance on other senses. I am going to follow my cousins on a hunting trip and want to record the audio the entire time. Later I will edit this audio down. The problems are lack or power source for most of it. What should I buy that can record a week of audio without needing more power?

I am all set to purchase a Sony Mic (with an 1/8 inch cord).
I know the mic needs a preamp before it reaches my computer, so I picked one out within my budget, but it has 1/4 inch input and output.

Soundcloud seems useful as it works on HTML 5 and iPhones, but unless you pay the expensive membership, you can't embed a player into your website (just a bunch of little cloud players), plus the quality of the song is not the best.
The ReverbNation player is great, but it won't work on iOS devices.

hey all,

I'm asking some help with recording a trumpet, but with a twist. We are looking at recording a trumpet with a pickup mic so that it's portable on stage, and processing it through Ableton live /or reason.

I've currently got:

iMac
mbox 2
a condenser, dynamic, ribbon mics

First, I'm wondering if I'm in the correct forum... I'm fairly new... but I had my CI1 and Sequel LE2 running with some success... having fun. Then I had my computer upgraded from XP to Windows 7. In reinstalling Sequel LE2, everything seems to be restored... except the "input selection" option does not appear when I open a new track, which means I can't record.

This is humbling but here goes.
