Variable speed change for audio
I've spent a lot of hours trying to figure this one out but no luck so far.
I'm editing a short film with a camera movement that speeds up really fast, almost stops and goes in slow motion and finally speeds up again at hits something. I want to illustrate this in the sound design. So I want to speed up a reverse/woosh sound and slow it down at the appropriate places.

Focusrite releases VRM Box
Am I the only one that is shocked by this? According to them this is "proven technology". What kind of bunk is that? Who are they kidding? Particularly because of the market they are targeting. Namely the budget home recording market. We know that those people will be listening on their $30 headphones.

Killer Drum Sound
I think I am onto it. Had a week here I can finally diagnose and tune up our drum kit, mic placement etc.
So I got new heads for the Yamaha Tour Custom Maple shell kit. Tuned the tops up, bottoms a shade lower. Snare the opposite. This is what I read seems to work well.

Toft ATB24 thoughts
Hello,
I am looking to go back a bit into the analog realm and was looking at the new Toft ATB24 as my new console.
Any thoughts on this board? Just looking for a bit more info of quality and such if anyone has any experience with it.
I do have an old Op Amps 24ch board that probably needs some work but but I think its just a bit to big for my space.
Thanks

RME 800 vs. RME 400
Is there anyother major difference besides the amount of inputs?
I was looking into the 800 because well it is talking about all over here, several people pointed me in its direction and it is one of the top audio interfaces out there.
Now they have a 400. which is cheaper but seems just as worthy.

A couple of conversion questions ...
Hello
I have a couple of conversion questions that I hope you can help with:
Downconversion side-effects
I may soon need to down-convert samples with a high sample frequency to a somewhat lower sample frequency, where the lower sample frequency is a direct division of the higher sample frequency (e.g. from 800 kHz to 100 kHz).

how to share on board sounds and vst synth through MIDI
perhaps the question is rather complex... but I'll have a go at it...
is there a way to configure a virtual synth (such as Kore 2) so that you can control it with a digital piano, but at the same time ALSO use the onboard sounds from the piano itself?
Separate PC for samples/editing of
Can i get by with a dual core setup for this application?
Am using E-MU E6400s and would like to have a dedicated PC to transfer and edit samples/presets to those units.
Possibly run a few soft synths on it as well. Not all at the same time though.
Audio would go to the main DAW PC in another rack.

Recording two spearate audio streams from online
Wondering if this can be done where I would run two separate players streaming material from online and record independently to two tracks in say Cubase ?
