What should you do when band members want to change the name of your band?

Okay, I'm got a jazz/fusion quartet that's recorded a CD; played a couple of higher profile gigs like music festivals and being the prelude act to a Johnny Matthas concert, aside from playing some jazz clubs. We've got a website with our domain name that's actually being overhauled by a web designer as I write.

Now they want me to mix OTB!

You know, one of the chains in my workflow just bit the dust, so I crawled out of my cave to do a little shopping - and I am amazed that all of the marketing tends to want to point us towards a "hybrid" system - with "real" tactile touch of faders, and the ability to mix OTB because it has that "analog sound and feel".

Just ordered PM0.4N monitor (room placement?)

this will be my first legitimate pair of monitors so plz feel free to flame my choice as it is too late at this point for me to send em back... anyhow the reason I picked these over others was that everything I read about these said that they are nothing special but are very flat. hopefully they live up to that. so the real question is about room placement.

The difference between singing live and recording?
