Hi, I'm trying to get my set-up running and am experiencing some problems. I am running a Beta 87a/guitars through a 4 channel mixing board, and running stereo from there to my interface. I have Cubase presently and am trying to record with that.

i'm thinking of buying one of these two monitors and i am wondering whether i will need a sub. my room is 3,50m x 2,80m and i'm producing trance.
i would like to buy an 8" monitor though. again i don't know if my room will be ok for it.

So should I restore the Aero graphics on Windows 7? I work on a PC using XP at my day job, and I'm used to not having any fancy effects on my screen. I also think it tends to use up some CPU power that can be better put to processing audio, so I've left it off. I don't miss them, so it doesn't bother me if they're not there.

I struggled for a couple of months with my new DAW system, and I thought that the USB Fast Track Ultra interface I was using was causing me trouble.

I have a blue yetti with a pop filter and recording about 5 inches away from the mic give or take. I have it set to cardioid and it's a usb mic so it's going straight into Audacity. I am trying to get good vocals here but when I compare it to lil wayne acapellas his sound soooooo much better than mine. I mean I expect it to sound somewhat better but this mic is supposed to be really good.

Hi all ! My Mackie 32 8 has just started playing up recently !
The problem is that on ch13 and ch19 I only have to move the faders a tiny bit and it's "all or nothing". There is no difference in volume between "just off the bottom" and "unity", and only a little difference between "unity" and "full up".
Any one ever had the same problem ?:confused:

I thought you could simply look at a waveform and tell if your input gain was too loud, causing distortion. Up until recently, this has seemed to work well, but for the past few recordings, I've noticed that I get distortion even when the waveform looks like it easily falls within the limits.

It took me all day to try and figure out why recording.org Threads looked goofy all of a sudden. The threads top and bottom where our sponsors ads go had a iframe in them making to OP (top post) and the last post bunch together with the banner ad.

Once I realized I had the IE compatibility view on, I removed this and the site looked perfect again.
