Hey guys,

When trademarking a band name, it asks for the "class" it is under. Does anyone know what class it is? The best I could find was "entertainment" class 41.

hi guys ive been recording for a while now in Cubase but am now ready for the mix, which i have no experience so i wanted to turn to u gurus for some direction. I will not be doing mixing in Cubase since i have an external mixing console on my soundcard so I'm now in the process of preparing the songs to be mixed in the other mixer.

I taped a local band and only used 1 1/4 inch cable out the back of the sdb thinking it was a headphone mono feed. It was only the right side of the recording no sound out of the left speaker. Is there a way to split it to both the left and right side using a splitter y cable or way to do it in Audacity after I load it into my itunes library?

I am expecting one in the mail shortly. I bought it mainly for electric guitar miking, but I am curious of others' experiences with it. Particularly for voice and acoustic guitar applications. Under what circumstances would you choose it over an SM58 for voice? Under what circumstances would you choose it over an SM57 for acoustic guitar? Anything else you can tell me about the mic?

I'm wondering what most groovin rock bands do when recording. do they use a metronome or not?

i just bought a PreSonus digimax d8 preamp.

I'm thinking about sometime in the near future to buy the studio live 16.4.2 digital mixer. it has the same preamps as the digimax d8, the only difference is that it says it has 67 DB of gain, vs. the digimax's 60db.

I have a band, and I want to register the name so I own the rights. Everything is clear in terms of US Trademark registration, ASCAP.com and BMI.com, and bandname.com registrations. The name is not registered there.

But, 2 bands, aside from us, are using the name on myspace. They do not appear to be active, however. One is in California, the other in Germany.

I wasn't sure what the right forum was for this question as it's not necessarily related to recording, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with moving gear around in the cold.

Hey guys! Look, I have a huge issue! I have some pretty descent gear but I'm just not producing a good clean sound. I have a Focusrite isa one, dbx 266xl, and m-audio profire 610. i have an okay mic you could say; Studio Projects B1. Is there a certain way I should have things hooked up? Certain cables? And does my computer have anything to do with the overall sound? I mean I'm just lost.
