I've got an EMU 404 USB audio interface, and it's got 2 audio inputs on it. I'm looking in to Micing my drum set to do some recording, and I was wondering if I could use a multi-channel mixer BEFORE the audio interface so I could run more mics.

Well i wanted a bigger monitor so i could see my app. better and i got a Sony brevia 32"
My computer has an ATI excaliber video card with DVI out.
So i got a DVI to HDMI adapter and it works fine.

I'm trying to find a good combination of microphone and processing (via plugin , w/e) that can make my voice could less boy-ish.

Im totally new to recording and at this point just want to find a simple program that has some already made drum loop presets that i can play threw my computer speakers.

Just something i can jam to with my guitar.

I'm Shark. I'm just your run-of-the-mill garage musician here to learn a little more about recording. Basically I want to learn enough about recording to throw my music up on the web and not have people shudder. If it's better than that, great. Most of the time I play bass in an Indie rock band. I play a little guitar. Anyway, that's enough.

Just got wind of this from UAD. Modeled from an actual Studer A800. They don't mention what tape they are using but it sounds easily as good as HEAT IMHO. No calibration. No need for biasing. Hmmm is it too good to be true?
