Extension Cab Question

I am considering an amp head for recording which will obviously require an extension cabinet. My question is what will be the advantage of a 2x12 over a 1x12 cab. The one obvious advantage I see is the ability to mix speakers and blend some different voicings based om that, but I'm not seeing any other obvious advantages.

Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

SPL MTC 2381 Monitor & Talkback Controller

Just thought I'd mention that I've been using the SPL MTC 2381, Monitor Talkback Controller for a year now and it is excellent. I'm really happy I bought it and highly recommend it. It does exactly what its supposed to do and the sound quality is excellent."Stereo volume, source and monitor control with cue mixing and talkback functions"

garageband '09 and Behringer 1204

hey everybody, this is my first post on here. i am an amateur home recorder, for lack of better terminology. i use garageband and i just bought a Behringer 1204usb. i have the basics down on recording to garageband. i am just curious as to mixing a song with it. i am using an instrumental in .wav or .mp3 format and the vocals are added to them.

Audio System Build. Help!

I am in an enviable position of being able to have a system purchased for me in exchange for work that would be built to my specs. I do a lot of recording using a system that is pretty antiquated by today's standards and I really want to take advantage of this opportunity to upgrade my audio capabilities to truly put out some good professional audio.

music folders aren't big, but using up all my hard drive

Hi all

Got a question, I've got a couple of bands on my hard drive, if I click on the folders they add up to about 35 gigs. They are the only thing on the 250 gig hard drive, hidden files are enabled. When I click on disk properties it says I've used up 150gigs, is there something Cubase is hiding or the way I'm saving the files?
