Studio Projects C4 ROCKS!

Just wanted to say, I'm using these for the first time tonight and I am loving them on a Martin Acoustic. They sound very natural without all the boomyness of my other larger diaphram condensers I used to have to use (I just didn't have anything else). Cant wait to try these out as drum overheads. For $200 a piece or a little less, well worth it.

Screw up

I made a huge mistake and had the cardiod of the Sony C 48 studio Mics faceing the wrong way. The resulting sound is awful and for some reason, i didn't notice a difference until i played it on my own monitor speakers. Now it sounds like there is a lot of reverb and the EQ is weird. The reverb isn't that much of a problem but if i can fix it it would be good.

Help with Jazz Big Band Recording

Hi all,

I know there have been a couple of big band threads in the past and I have scoured them for details. I was hoping some of you might be able to jump in and help me out with a big band jazz recording I've got coming up. I've mostly recorded small groups, solo singer/songwriters, with the occasional rock band and church choir thrown in.

First, the setup of the band:

Need Some Advice For Multiple Instruments

I have a small band in which I play 2 different Ukuleles with externally mounted Dimario piezo-electric pickups, and an archtop acoustic with a suspended humbucker pickup.

Each of the ukes is plugged into it’s own 7 band EQ pedal. The guitar is plugged in to an overdrive pedal then it’s own 7 band EQ.

HELP - Best Multitrack/Mixer for under 450$

Hi,
I want to start by saying in sorry to be another recording newbie asking almost the same question.

I want to record demos with my band. Instead of doing all the layers one after the others, it would be awsome to record rehearsals and tweak all the track in the DAW (cubase). It would hopefully sound better than recording with a tape cassette recorder.
