so what up with this duet from Apogee? is it really all its cracked up to be ? I'm looking for an upgrade from my m-audio mobile pre usb interface . $500 dollers is pushing my budget but ill pay it if there isn't anything else i can get for cheaper with equal amount of quality . or maybe there something better for that price range ? what do you guys think ?

I got $1900 and I have a Macbook Pro, midi-keyboard, Logic Pro, but need a soundcard and studiomonitors, and a microphone(and maybe something more? I don't know :P). I have no clue about this kind of thing whatsoever, so I need advice. What should I give priority with 1900 dollars? More expensive soundcard and less expensive studiomonitors or vice versa?

hello everyone. I'm new to home recording, and I've recently bought some hardware and software to start recording. I've recorded a few simple things with Amplitube, but I'm wanting to get into compositions, and this requires something more like Acid Pro 7.0 so I can layer tracks and things like that.

I've never really liked the way that my combo looked on top of my cab, so last week I decided to do something about it! I designed the enclosure on paper and took it to the local Builder Mart. They didn't have the right cutting equipment and so I could only get in the ballpark of my intended measurements unfortunately. It wasn't easy, but a good artist uses what he has in front of him.
