So I thought I was going to be able to impress you with my very first acoustic track today, and everything was going just fine... until I recorded it. :D I keep getting horrible phasing. Two mics are being used. 2 SM57's to be exact. One at body and one at upper neck. I get great tone from the body one, fat but not muddy. The neck one seems to not blend well.

will i notice a big difference if i upgrade from my MOTU 828 (mk1) to an RME multiface (mk1)?

i produce electronic music and don't do much actual recording.

i can buy a used multiface for $400 however i will then need to purchase the expresscard ($600! new and i cant find it used anywhere) so the overall investment will be about a grand.

I Need A Sound Card That Will Deliver Top Notch Latency Performance 0-5 ms. I Do Not Have Any Need For Ins As I Want The Soundcard Solely For Midi Input to control Virtual Synthesizers. SO I want to be able to play them in almost real time =D. Any Reccomendations?

I am involved with audience screen tests for movies and want to isolate the audience laughter from the cinema room. Is there any software that could extract the background audio of the film being played in the cinema and leave the laughter.

I am looking for a cheap keyboard/midi controller that has a touch-sensitive option with a sustain pedal. Maybe something by Yamaha?
