Hey guys, I'm new here and this is my first post.

I'm just wondering if you guys have links to any good reads when it comes to recording's basics and principles.

I have done a few rough mixes before on a Fostex 4 track digital recorder. The sound often comes out very low and I have to boost the frequencies, which doesn't give me the best sound. How can I fix this?

Can anyone tell me if they have had any luck with using IK Multimedia AmpliTube Fender? Right now sweetwater is offering a 3 for 1 deal. Just wondering if anyone has had any feedback...be it good/bad.

I have a PC. I use the M-audio Firewire 410 sound card, my Behringer Eurorack UB-1622fx pro mixer and my Sony A/V receiver and this is how I had it set up.

Sony A/V reciever's CD input TO Behringer Tape output

Hey guys! First time post-er. Glad I found this place.

I am just getting into recording and a tad confused. I get the general idea and am able to work with sound equipment but here is my dilemma.

Me and my band are recording our first demo in a somewhat ghetto fashion (compaired to what i've read on this forum were working with fairly unideal conditions). with our current setup were running all our mics into a Mackie PA (in place of a mixing board) and then into a Boss BR-900 digital recorder.

i cant figure out how to make the vocal sound like that :)

any tips?

Long story short, I am recording voice-overs so I need a USB PC friendly interface. I'll be using a Shure SM7B (client request), so I need something with quality, low noise, high gain pres. One (or two) channels is fine.

Hi there. I've been recording bass guitar using a bass pod for ages and have grown sick of it! I record big, dirty sounding bass primarily. I'm looking into buying a mid-range amp for my bass, but am wondering - in your experience, is it best to D.I. bass or use an amp? I know this one tends to split people but I'd love some input please!

hmm ..i just watching internal mixing by steinberg and there topic about phase interference ..actually i don't know what he say about phase interference ..can someone share to me about phase interference that can make me understand that ..thx btw
