SM58 connected to pc
Forums
Hi I currently own an SM58 microphone together with a few different amps and a lot of cables. I was thinking I wanted to record a couple of songs. So I'm wondering what is the easiest way to hook the SM58 directly up to my computer?
I have a few simple programs that can process the sound, but I need a simple way for the SM58 to connect to my pc so I can record stuff.

Explanation of recording in stereo channels vs mono?
Forums
Hi,
Can someone explain exactly what happens if recording two mics as "Stereo" on the mixer, compared to two mics defined as mono, using the pan function etc.? In other words, when people describe XY, etc., I assume they are saying to define both mics as mono right? What does the mixer add then when defining as stereo, in same XY?
I want good vocal recordings.

Tube Popping
Forums
I am using a Crate Palomino V32 series amp and have just started to notice some popping and crackling... which never sits well in a mix. This is only on the clean channel, but it still makes me believe it to be the tubes.
Even if no guitar is plugged in and the volume is all the way down or up, doesn't matter. Here's a link to the popping.

Looking for a sequencer
Forums
Hello,
I'm looking for a good hardware sequencer that suits my needs. At the moment, I am using Electribes to make sequences, but these are very short (only 4 bars per pattern). I'd like to have something without such a limitation, or at least a much higher one (16 bars or something).

Monitors - Christmas Present
Forums
Hi again,
After my purchase of my UX1 I am need of some cheap monitors for Christmas to double as speakers for my laptop. I will need to arrange my Christmas list soon as they will be on it! My UX1 has two Analogue outs L/R and I do have a JACK to RCA cable that can be used if needbe. Yes it is a dual cable with separate Left and Right cables.

Wierd looking wave forms...
Forums
I don't know if this is has something to do with with Logic, or if this is related to my recording(but, which is more likely).
This shows the wave form for one of the drum overheads:

Speaker Cab Burning Smell
Forums
Lately when I turn my amp up to or past the point of speaker distortion the cab begins to smell like it is burning. Not like something left in the oven for too long, but it certainly is a smell that you aren't expecting to come from your cab. It is reminiscent to a doctor's office smell, like that sterile smell mixed with rubber.
