I either just had an epiphany or an incredibly stupid thought, you decide. The premise is the reason which sparked the thought so read that for understanding first.

Premise: When running a tube head into a cab, the speaker wattages must ADD UP to at least the output RMS wattage of the head itself.

I currently use an M-Audio Fast Track Pro and was looking for an upgrade. Any suggestions?

I'm a beginner at home studio stuff. I recently bought a Behringer Xenyx502 Mixer with a C-1 Behringer Condenser Mic, along with an audio interface to connect it to my computer.

I would just want to know what would be the best set up of these tools to produce the best sound whether I want to record a live acoustic performance or to record a song into separate tracks.

i have an mbox 2 and i am trying to record vocals using a Shure sm57 mic but in order to get good enough levels i have to crank the input as close as i can to max on the mbox and even then i have to be super careful cause if i go any higher i get poor quality audio.

Hello, new to the forums. I am looking into upgrading my current audio iinterface. I have a Line6 Pod Xt which is great mind you but I need to expand my inputs so that I have the ability to record myself, drums and a bass all at the same time.

At 2:22, 2:25, 2:29 there's this keyboard sound on this song "Days Go By" by "Dirty Vegas". Anyone have any idea what synth they might have used to make this sound?

So i started a new chapter in my recording path. I finally started recording with logic and apple technology. I plugged into my Tascam 122 unit and layed down some dirty tracks. I am using the 122 until i can get a firewire interface. Before i was recording on a PC using cubaseLE in a pretty big and open layout. Now, i am condensed into a smaller room in my new apartment.
