60Hz Hum Problem
Forums
Hey all, please bear with me on this:
I run sound in a small bar/venue, and everything was ghetto-rigged when I took over here. The other day I was in the ceiling running new power cables for the front of house, lights, and an RCA pair from our Yamaha MG20c's REC out to the house stereo so DJs and bands can be heard on the outdoor speakers.

Virtual Guitar
Forums
Hi there, forum newbie here!
I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good virtual guitar software that could be run using midi tracks from Guitar Pro (like DFK for drums) or if that is even possible!
Btw the tones I'm looking for would be fairly distorted/high gain, so if you could take that into account!
Thanks for your help in advance! :D

Now let me tell you how I have it set up.
1-Bit recorders
Forums
FWIW, I own both the MR-1 and the MR-1000 and use them both all the time. I love them for so many things and have only minor gripes about both of them.
As far as sound quality - both in PCM and DSD (SR of DSD that they offer).

Can't Decide..
Forums
So I'm sorta new to this recording world. I'm using a iMac Pro laptop and I wanted to find a nice interface to record w/ for my friend and I.
All we need is 2 inputs max probably since were just doing a few projects here and there.
I considered a few options and it went down to these two interfaces.

Fireface 800 question
Forums
Hi. I am plugging an SM7 mic into the FF800 which is connected to my laptop via a firewire 800 express card. I'm runnng Reaper. My issue is I have to crank up the gain on the FF800 really high (almost max) in order to get a signal on Reaper.
This doesn't seem right. Am I missing something?
Thanks.

Reasonable Volumes/Stage Planning
Forums
So I picked up an SPL meter a while ago (and a multimeter with test leads that don't always sit right). And I reckon that over the past months, the volume has crept up a little.
Also, you know how I post in threads - provide enough information to bore people to tears and then tell people to skI'm half of it, and provide an MS paint image to illustrate it (you won't be disappointed).

trying to record on new mac
Forums
Hey guys I recently bought a nice macbook pro and Was enjoying all it has to offer until today. I went to plugin a motif piano into the input and it wouldn't record any sound from the convered 1/4 inch cable. Instead all of the sound was my hands hitting the plastic keys picked up by the onboard mic.
What must I do to record?
